As baby boomers older it is extremely important  to pay more attention to their health. Our bodies change and that is simply a fact of life. There is not a lot we can do to stop the changes but there are many ways to deter and even eliminate problems. And, the purpose of Health for Baby Boomers website is to point out some of the ways we can enjoy the fact that we are getting older.

Baby boomers certainly don't want wrinkled skin, bulging bellies, over-sized butts, bad eyes, bad hearing or heart problems. We need to do everything possible to help anti aging as the birthdays pile up.  That's why it is important to be concerned about health for baby boomers.

Anti aging skin care is vitally important in baby boomers quest for good health and good looks. Wrinkles start showing up much too early. Bags under your eyes, rooster joules under your chin, and droopy skin on upper arms are just some of the ways aging affects your appearance. When we do some simple precautionary things and regularly use anti aging products on our skin we can reduce and even stop much of this natural aging process that affects health for baby boomers.

Ever wake up and think you can't get out of bed because your back aches so badly? It happens to all baby boomers. It could be we need to replace our mattress. Maybe we’ve developed poor sleeping positions. Whatever the reason, sometimes simple exercises and stretching exercises can help. Then again maybe we should seek the advice and services of our health provider because there are times when back ache is caused by problematic health issues.  And, as baby boomers our health should be our biggest concern.

Weigh management and weight control is another area of health for baby boomers we need to address as we age. Nobody likes the "dunlap syndrome". That’s when the belly "done laps" over your belt. Nor do we want an oversized butt or thies. It’s critical that we control what and how much we eat. Remember, its calories in and calories out. When we overeat and don’t burn them off they stay on our bodies, usually in the wrong places, as fat. Control is tough but control is the answer.

Proper vision health is vital in good health for baby boomers especially if there has ever been a history of macular degeneration on your family. You need to have your eyes checked for on a regular basis not only for good vision but for problems like cataracts, glaucoma, AMD (macular degeneration) and other vision abnormalities. I can’t stress this enogh having experience the devastating affects of AMD couple with cataracts.

The same goes for watching your blood pressure and cholesterol. Heart care for baby boomers with a family history of these problems is essential. There are usually blood pressure checking places in most drug stores and many super markets. Use them. You need to control your destiny yourself.

As sad as it can be, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are genetic as well. At this point, we can't control the genetics but we can do everything possible to alleviate all the negative factors that creep up on the health for baby boomers. As you read through my comments and experiences you'll find many interesting facts that hopefully will help you avoid many or all of these health problems.
